Evaluation of tree trunks in real time
USE Case:
Our AI-supported system is able to evaluate timber on the basis of different quality characteristics in real time. We used for this USE Case the existing IP Cameras from the manual detection system which is controlled and rated by employees of the customer.
Benefit:
The advantage of this system is the objectivity of a machine evaluation. Different quality characteristics can be supplemented and trained in the neural network at any time.
Unique Approach:
The system of the IoT40 can be used for different recognitions. It is always the same system and the costs are much lower than for machines that detect one or two characteristics.
Real time measurement of wood blanks
USE Case:
In the wood panel industry, branches are drilled from the panels and wooden discs are used. If these wood discs exceed a certain size, the whole production line can stop because the supply line is blocked by the wrong wood discs. Our system is able to measure the blanks in realtime and if a part exceeds the size limit, it is blown out with compressed air.
Benefit:
Downtimes in production are prevented.
